ألعاب نارية في بريطانيا وكندا، هتافات وغناء في ألمانيا، هكذا احتفل الناس حول العالم بعد إعلان وسائل إعلام أميركية فوز المرشح الديمقراطي، جو بايدن، في الانتخابات الرئاسية الأميركية أمام منافسه، الرئيس الأميركي، دونالد ترامب، الذي لم يقر بالهزيمة.

ورغم عدم إعلان النتائج رسميا، إلا أن البعض احتفل مسبقا خاصة بعدما أعلنت وسائل إعلام فوز بايدن بأصوات ولاية بنسلفانيا، والتي جعلته يحصل على 290 صوتا في الهيئة الانتخابية.

وأكد ترامب انه سيلجأ للقضاء معتبرا أنه الفائز الحقيقي بالانتخابات التي جرت في الثالث من نوفمبر الحالي.

الرئيس الأميركي، دونالد ترامب، قال السبت إنه سيثبت فوزه بالانتخابات عن طريق المحكمة، وأضاف "الحقيقة البسيطة هي أن الانتخابات لا تزال بعيدة عن نهايتها"، وأن "الأصوات القانونية هي التي تحدد الرئيس، لا الإعلام".
