TOGA VIRILIS FW20 Goes All Out on '50s Tailoring, Western Embellishments and Shimmer
2020-07-28 | Since 4 Month
After TOGA unveiled its collaboration with SUICOKE earlier this month, the brand’s clothing division TOGA VIRILIS has now showcased its Fall/Winter 2020 collection. The Tokyo-based, Yasuko Furuta-helmed label presents plenty of standout looks for this upcoming season, with lots of pieces adopting signature TOGA VIRILIS design cues drawn from past eras. For example, metallic motifs and Western embellishments grace everything from leather belts to a sinched navy blue blazer. TOGA VIRILIS even drew influences from Mexico when styling the blazer, as it’s paired with a wide open-collared shirt and a small pouch hanging from the waist belt. Other notable pieces include the range of shiny, silk-like shirts that are embroidered with flowing shapes and patterns, as well as the jersey and knitwear pieces that sport a utopian print that features the word “TOGA” in Chinese characters. There’s also jacquard knitwear that revives the label’s “Dancing Man” design, and plenty of pieces covered in stripes, such as the multicolored trousers and the leather military coat.
Rounding out TOGA VIRILIS’ strong FW20 collection is a range of faux-fur coats, a selection of iridescent pieces, and a handful of graphic-printed basics. Check out the TOGA VIRILIS FW20 collection in the lookbook above, and catch the collection in stores such as Goodhood sometime soon.
