The Canadian Press Agency reported that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was quarantined in a three-star hotel in the capital, Ottawa, after returning from Europe.
According to the country's rules regarding the pandemic, everyone who arrives by plane in the country must self-isolate for two weeks, as travelers stay in one of the government-approved hotels for up to three nights, after which they can continue to isolate themselves at home.
According to the agency, Trudeau later took a corona test, which enabled him to leave the hotel after spending a total of about 12 hours.
According to the Canadian Ministry of Health, more than 1.4 million cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in the country, and about 26,000 people have died of infection, while more than 29.9 million doses of vaccines against the disease have been used.
