The Iranian Guardian Council, which is tasked with supervising elections in the country, issued a statement setting out the conditions for who can run and register in the presidential elections scheduled to take place on June 18.
The Guardian Council indicated that the conditions for candidacy and registration in the Iranian presidential elections are the following:
The age must be between 40 and 75 years. He must have a master's degree or at least its equivalent. He must have held at least 4 years in managerial positions. Ministers, governors, mayors of municipalities can be nominated in cities with a population of more than 2 million, and military leaders with the rank of major general or above. The candidate has no criminal record.
