The community cleanliness campaign in Amanat Al-Asimah, during the first day, removed more than 2,700 tons of waste from the streets, neighborhoods, and lanes of the ten directorates of the Municipality.
Ibrahim Al-Surabi, director of the cleaning project at the Municipality, Ibrahim Al-Surabi, explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that on its first day, yesterday, the campaign raised more than 835 waste jars, an increase of 1,100 tons over the daily output.
He pointed to the efforts of community and voluntary initiatives and participation and citizens, as well as cleaning workers and the participation of 350 equipment and trucks in all regions of the districts in implementing this campaign.
He stressed the importance of such campaigns in maintaining cleanliness, especially on occasions when the movement of citizens is active, including the blessed month of Ramadan.
